Honestly speaking regardless of the criticism for nisa trails had to be picked up by them to continue on at least on the west. Looking forward to it becoming a regular mainstay akin to the disgae tittles

As for Altair City you NEVER official go their OUTSIDE of in game cutscenes and don't actually have in game quests their in ANY of the games so far that MAY change with Kai/Kuro 3.

What I’ve always loved about Trails worldbuilding is not just the politics and the countries and the characters we play, but many npcs are named (in sky trilogy nearly every npc had a name) and they all have their own little lives going on in the background of your quests. So every time you visit them you get a little update about them like in Sky one of the shopkeepers was a single guy living with his mom and she kept trying to push him to go out and date so each time you’d talk to them there would be another step in trying to set him up a date with someone. That level of story is what some I’m sure would call unnecessary, but it adds so much life to the game.

Great interview. Damn gonna be bitter sweet when they finally 100% the story. I hope that they dont abandon Zemuria altogether after that though. A big reason i love this series is because i really love the world itself and 80% of the story being just living in the world and doing odd jobs is one of my favourite things. Even if theres no massive background plot happening small standalone games where your a bracer or memeber of the church or something would be fun. That said if they want to end it and end it on a high note then more power to them :).

Trails has become my favorite JRPG series, after Final Fantasy claiming the top spot for like 20 years. Thank you for the well-made localisations, please keep them coming. :D Also, I'd just like to say: keep working with Durante and PH3 Games - that team sets the GOLD STANDARD for porting and optimization. There's like not even a contest.

I don't know how to repay you for everything you've done. you led me to right path to play Trails Series since I was 17 years old. I'm sure that's obvious. but it's good to say it explicitly every now and then too. Trails is my favorite as ever. for a long Journey, so many memories. thanks you so much Mr.Kondo. ^^

Okay, the conversation was nice. It was fun and friendly, but most of the questions were very ordinary. I wish you had asked better questions. For example: -Do you have any other projects set in the Kiseki universe? Will we get different games set in Zemuria once Kiseki is finished? -Will there be games set in the past and future of the Kiseki universe? -Will we see character stories independent of the main story? -Will we see games set in different regions independent of the main story? There could have been many more questions like these, but most of the questions were very ordinary. Anyway, thanks for your effort.

5:35 I am 110% sure they botched on this one ^^ A maid i a hotel in western Erebonia has the same name as a girl in Edith's old Town and some legendary woman in Calvards history... Sheena ... used the name 3 times! ... at least in the localization ^^

My favorite JRPG series to date. Love the backstory, characters, geography and how it all ties together relating to current events in real life. Would love to see the final arc with 2-3 games take place in far eastern Zemuria.

Oh man, I think the question about fishing at 18:15 was one of the questions I submitted online (unless someone else asked the same thing). Fun to see that answered.

I think Kuro's weakness so far for me is how the overall story seems rather weak. Even though the gameplay is vastly improved, I just can't find the same type of chills I got from Sora or even Sen.

I swear he lists a different, random "percentage complete" every time he mentions it. LOL. He said 90% before, and then today he says 70-80%.

Best world building in JRPGs

By me, this is perfect jrpg. I love so much.

At a time where jrpgs are recycling the same old mechanics and frankly JRPG youtubers can't make the difference between a good JRPG and a bad one (just look at the praise of games with bad/cliche stories, feels like the writing is a non factor) someone like Kondo should be revered.

Thank you NISA for doing so much for Trails! You may have critics but remember that there are many who silently cheer you on as well. I'm sure that's obvious but it's good to say it explicitly every now and then too.

Such a wonderful series that clicked with me like no other Jrpg does that I hope spread to more people.

Trails is my favorite franchise ever!
